Reconstruction Surgery

Reconstructive or joint replacement surgery is used when the involved joint has an advanced wearing of cartilage and inflammation of its surrounding tissues. The use of implants is characteristic to replace the damaged surface of one or both bones allowing a pain free mobility and a better quality of life.

This surgery is done exclusively when all the nonsurgical conservative measures have been exhausted, like lose weight, use of medications, use of orthotics and physiotherapy.
